Sam carries the weight of old magic in his gaze. He is the cat who has lived many lives, perhaps even simultaneously, and returns to this dimension only when it suits him.

He does not simply leave the house — he steps out of reality.

He returns the same way: silently, suddenly, as if he has always been standing there. His presence is grounding, ancient, and strangely comforting, like a familiar shadow cast by a fire you didn’t realize was lit.

He watches over the land from the outside, guarding the perimeter not as a pet, but as a protector of the realm.
